Meeting of processes

Oskar Zięta designed the shapes and patterns of the rugs, while their material realisation is the result of Agnella’s craftsmanship and technological precision. This is a meeting of two worlds: the proprietary FiDU technology, based on shaping steel through internal pressure, and the Wilton weaving technique, developed and refined over decades. In both cases, creation is grounded in a fascination with material, control of process, and a pursuit of a refined outcome — regardless of whether the medium is metal or fibre.

Dialogue between metal and wool

The Zieta x Agnella collection explores a dialogue between perception and experience. Visually soft steel — a defining characteristic of Zieta’s objects — finds its counterpart in the tangible softness of wool. The rugs are consciously designed elements within spatial compositions that, when combined with Zieta objects such as Tafla, Oko, and Rondo mirrors, seating pieces, or tables, create a cohesive and multidimensional environment.

Material and precision

The rugs from the Wool Transitions collection are produced in Poland, in a factory with over 50 years of tradition, where every stage of production — from spinning and dyeing to weaving and finishing — remains under full control. The use of Wilton (face-to-face) technology allows for exceptional density and precision of pattern, as well as the creation of surfaces with a high, soft pile that enhances the depth of colour transitions.

Composing complete spaces

The Wool Transitions collection was created in response to the need for designing complete and conscious interiors — spaces in which every element carries meaning and shapes the user’s experience. It is a proposition for architects and designers who approach interiors as cohesive ecosystems of forms, materials, and emotions. The rugs from the Zieta x Agnella collection serve as tools for composing such spaces — where technology meets craftsmanship, and visual lightness meets material depth.

Natural quality and detail

The gradient rugs are made from 100% New Zealand wool — a material known for its durability, natural qualities, breathability, and environmental friendliness. The quality of the material translates into both the comfort of use and product longevity. While the rugs are machine-woven, their final character is defined by hand finishing — from the precise cutting of irregular forms to details such as cotton edging and a leather label.

Designing experience

The Zieta x Agnella – Wool Transitions collection translates the visual language of Zieta Studio into Agnella’s wool rugs. Its point of departure lies in the colour transitions found on the steel surfaces of Zieta’s mirrors — effects of light, material tension, and reflection. These have been captured and preserved within the rugs, introducing into interiors a sense of calm, softness, and fluid continuity.
