Zieta Studio

Zieta Studio is a place of experimental artistic production. It is where monomaterial, ultra-light technological manifestos in metal are created. Here, engineering intertwines with art. Here, we constantly move between the virtual and the real. This is where radical, unique and environmentally conscious objects are formed from “inflated” metal.

We sculpt objects of desire with air. We deform flat sheets of metal into three-dimensional, collectible functional forms.

Zieta Studio objects are unique ambassadors of the groundbreaking FiDU technology. A technology of inner pressure forming, developed and patented by Oskar Zięta. A technology that allows us to sculpt air into metal. A technology that is revolutionising the worlds of design, art, architecture, ultralight industry and new mobility.

Through bold, sculptural objects, we manifest advanced technological studies and years of material research. We operate beyond established patterns, think in terms of process, and treat design as our means of communication—a prism through which our interdisciplinarity is revealed.

To fully describe Zieta Studio, we could change our description every day and still never capture it in its entirety. On the same day, we may be working on the world’s lightest chair, a sculptural museum object, a wall constellation of metal mirrors, an ultra-thin lamp, a public sculpture and a thin-walled steel structural profile.

That is why, when asked “Who are we?”, we often reply:

We are highly technological artists or deeply sensitive engineers with an eye for beauty.

Experience and passion allow us to design intuitively, while precision and uniqueness are rooted in respect for, and trust in, the material. In understanding it and allowing for individual expression. That is why we call the final stage of deformation a controlled loss of control.

FiDU technology resembles the process of inflating a dragonfly’s wings. The insect pumps bodily fluids into narrow channels; the wings change in size and character, becoming a stable framework. A similar transformation takes place in our tailor-made metal constructions.
