Oskar Zięta and FiDU at the New Mobility Congress 2026

New Mobility Congress 2026

Międzynarodowe Centrum Kongresowe w Katowicach

ultre mobility electric vehicles in a city

During the New Mobility Congress in Katowice, Zieta Studio will present FiDU technology in the context of contemporary mobility. The event will also mark the premiere of the latest Ultre 2 City™, joining the growing Ultre™ family, which already includes Ultre 4 Cargo™ and Ultre 3 Sharing™. Their shared technological foundation is FiDU Frame™ — an ultralight structure developed by Oskar Zięta.

The World’s Lightest Chair and the Future of Mobility

An important stage in this research was Ultraleggera — an ultralight chair structure that explored the limits of what material and construction could achieve. Weighing just 1,660 grams, the project became a practical study of how the precise shaping of geometry can achieve extreme lightness without compromising rigidity or functionality.

Zięta’s Research into Ultralightness

The application of FiDU technology in Ultre™ Mobility vehicles represents another stage in Zięta’s more than 20 years of research into metal forming, structural design and ultralightness. Oskar Zięta is an engineer, architect and urbanist. This combination of perspectives has shaped his approach to structures in which material, geometry, mass, technology and function form a single system.
The Ultralight, Rigid FiDU Frame
FiDU Frame™ transfers this principle to the scale of the vehicle. Low structural mass becomes one of the key parameters of the design, while the reduced reliance on conventional tooling allows greater freedom to modify geometry and develop the structure.

In Ultre™ Mobility, Zięta’s experience gained through work at the scale of objects and furniture is therefore transferred to the scale of mobility. Ultraleggera was an experiment in the limits of mass and structure. FiDU Frame™ is the next stage in this research — an evolution of the idea of ultralight construction at vehicle scale.

Zięta on the Logistics of the Future

Oskar Zięta will moderate the panel “Logistics: How Sustainable Will the Future of Deliveries Be?”, taking place on 23 September from 13:00 to 13:45 on the Design Stage. His presence in the Congress programme reflects the broader dimension of the Ultre™ project — an interest not only in the vehicle itself, but also in the design and organisation of mobility within the contemporary city.
