Belongings encased in a design icon
Sejv protects what is kept inside while reflecting what deserves to be seen. It becomes a compositional element of space — either a dominant presence or a subtle complement—an iconic storage object shaped by air, steel, and technology.
Essence held within objects
Sejv marks Oskar Zięta’s debut in the category of storage objects. Crafted entirely from stainless steel, this sideboard transforms the definition of furniture into a gesture that elevates the value of personal belongings. It is the object that introduces a new category of furniture to Zieta Studio's portfolio, functioning simultaneously as storage and sculpture.
Character and coherence
Placed in a living room, lounge area, or entrance space, Sejv becomes part of the spatial composition. It complements the character of the interior while shaping its atmosphere — an object that belongs to its environment while maintaining its own identity.
At Zieta Studio, minimalism is not only a philosophy but also a method; not merely an aesthetic trend but a process. Sejv embodies Oskar Zięta’s principle of “less is less” — the elimination of excess elements, material, and energy until only clarity of form and balance remain.
At Zieta Studio, minimalism is not only a philosophy but also a method; not merely an aesthetic trend but a process. Sejv embodies Oskar Zięta’s principle of “less is less” — the elimination of excess elements, material, and energy until only clarity of form and balance remain.
Balance between function and form
The result is Sejv’s architectural volume, defined by carefully balanced proportions and precise lines. Its geometry is deliberate and restrained, allowing the object to withdraw visually into the space while simultaneously emphasising its presence.
Sejv is produced using FiDU (Freie Innendruck Umformung) — an internal pressure metal-forming technology developed and patented by Oskar Zięta. Two precisely welded sheets of steel are inflated with air so that the material expands volumetrically into its predetermined form.
Metal’s signature along the edge
FiDU is both a controlled and a free process. Air acts as the constructor, while metal becomes the designer. The result is an ultra-light object with remarkable structural rigidity. Each piece carries subtle edge deformations created during the forming process, making every Sejv unique.
Across all variants of the Sejv Sideboard collection, the height of the steel body remains 22 cm. This consistent proportion defines the object’s distinctive horizontal silhouette and reinforces its architectural character and cubist expression.
The Sejv drawer — the essence of secure storage
Every Sejv is equipped with a drawer, while the 204 cm versions can feature either a single-compartment or double-compartment configuration. The metal body naturally limits the penetration of electromagnetic waves, creating a shielding effect similar to that of a Faraday cage.
The flexible configurations of Sejv allow it to adapt to a variety of interiors and scenarios of use. The object can also be customised upon request. Regardless of configuration, Sejv retains its identity — a sculptural storage object shaped by steel, proportion, and technology.

Zieta Collection
The outcome of transdisciplinary design based on experimenting with unique FiDU technology. The Zieta Collection, fresh, new, daring solutions that not only excite but also fire up the imagination, is based on controlled deformation—inflating flat, steel forms with compressed air.
