The iconic interiors of Warszawa Hotel, a pre-war symbol of modern architecture in the capital, held 25th anniversary of ARCHITEKTURA – Murator journal. The main point of the evening was a discussion “Step into the future” with Marta Thorne – director of Pritzker Prize, Ivan Blasi – Mies van der Rohe Foundation and Denis Leontiev – Strielka KB Moscow, conducted by Mirosław Bałka. It was followed by a presentation of architectural pieces from last 25 years and next followed by handing in awards, designed by Oskar Zieta, for the most interesting projects and popularizing architecture.
The trophies perfectly fitted the discussion on the future of architecture as they are models of the very first IPE-section beam in the world made with FiDU technology, that is shaped with compressed air. It is a breakthrough in construction industry as well as in circular economy – said Oskar Zięta – section beams are used as weight bearing elements in building and engineering structures. Those can be lighter and easier to manufacture now.
