Zieta Studio’s metal objects at the HAWROT Atelier

Hawrot Boutique - Atelier, Warsaw, Poland

Mikołaja Kopernika 8/18, 00-367 Warsaw

In December 2024, at Gallerie Trittligasse in Zurich, an interdisciplinary encounter took place between Oskar Zięta’s metallic deformations and Joanna Hawrot's work, the designer and founder of the HAWROT brand. The exhibition sparked a broader collaboration, which has now taken shape in the form of Zieta Studio’s metal objects enriching the HAWROT atelier in Warsaw, located at Kopernika 8/18.

Linear majesty

Upon entering the HAWROT space, visitors are immediately struck by an installation of three Blade linear lamps. This striking ceiling composition stimulates the senses while showcasing the potential of the Zieta Lighting collection. The lamps captivate not only with their majestic form but also through their unique lighting qualities and subtle transitions between warm and cool tones.

Interdisciplinary connections

HAWROT is a space for fashion, art, and creative collaboration. The sculptural, steel-based objects seamlessly complement this fusion of disciplines, introducing a dialogue between technology and design. The atelier’s display windows now feature specially designed hanging pieces expanding the concept of Zięta’s iconic OKO metal mirrors. Passers-by are drawn to two circular stainless steel surfaces, which transform after dark into a luminous, reflective installation of light and shadow.

Dialogue of form and sensitivity

What unites the works of Oskar Zięta and Joanna Hawrot is a shared minimalism. Hawrot operates at the intersection of fashion and art, building her brand around a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Japanese kimono. Her creative process follows three key stages: drawing inspiration from Eastern aesthetics, designing custom textiles, and collaborating with contemporary artists.

Object - light

The concept introduced through variations on the OKO objects is continued on a smaller scale by Mira — a piece that combines the hypnotic effect of Zieta’s metal mirrors with integrated lighting. This narrative is complemented by two Tafla Q wall mirrors — geometric forms distinguished by intriguing, signature FiDU deformations along their edges.
