ZIETA STUDIO AT EXPO 2020 DUBAI

Zieta Studio’s participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai is a great honour and the opportunity to present the Zieta brand to a new audience.

We will be part of the „Polish Table”, which will become a place of intercultural meeting in the Pavilion of Poland at Expo 2020 Dubai. It will be distinguished by its unique form and elements full of symbolism.

“For Expo 2020 Dubai, Zieta Studio designed a silver object and three copper forms – sculptural structures made especially for the „Polish Table”. On the one hand, they reflect our company’s DNA, which was developed through experiments with metal and volumetric expansion. On the other, they show the artistic and innovative aspect of working with metal”, says Oskar Zięta.

The ”Polish Table” will be the main attraction of the “Poland. A home for creativity” zone in the Pavilion of Poland. It will be a place where guests from all over the world will have a chance not only to experience Polish hospitality and creativity but also to get to know surprising information about our country. Many interesting facts will be provided by the “Polish Table” installation and its special modules.

Zieta Studio modules are sculptures referring to the mountain ranges’ cross-sections. In the process of their preparation, we used the FiDU technology based on giving the two-dimensional metal forms the third dimension using internal pressure. It is a process of controlled loss of control in which metal is exerted by a physical force. It can be compared to the geological processes, which lead to the formation of mountain peaks.

This concept refers also to the KGHM Polska Miedź, a Polish multinational corporation located in Lower Silesia, which is the largest silver mine in the world according to the World Silver Survey 2021. In the project, we allude to the raw materials mined in it: copper and its by-product, silver.

Zieta Studio will also create a special installation with TAFLA O mirrors that will become part of the multimedia and multi sensory exhibition presenting Polish culture and heritage. Movies and photos displayed on large screens, located all around the visitors, will be multiplied on the surface of our polished steel objects.
